SHOVANSUNDAR BOSU’S Poetry Performance (Bengali Kobita Abritti) stretched its contagious effects
beyond geographical limits and borders.
This year also Shovansundar will be visiting USA and Hongkong for performance from 27th August 2019. The details are coming shortly.
On 27th January 2019, he performed with his band at Dinabandhu Mancha, Siliguri, West Bengal, in ‘Uttar Banga Utsav’–24th January to 3rd February 2019, invited by Government of West Bengal, I&CA Department.
On 11th January 2019, he was invited again this year for his excellent performance in the previous year, by Chittaranjan Park Bangiya Samaj, New Delhi. He has performed one and half hour ‘KobitaConcert’ performance at Swami Vivekananda Mela Ground, New Delhi.
On 8th to 16th June 2018, he conducted a week long workshop on voice modulation, articulation, dramatic aspects of dialogue delivery for performing poetry and theatre in Atlanta for the famous Bengali theatre group Abhinayam LLP, Marietta, GA, USA.
On 2nd & 3rd June, 2018, he visited San Jose, California, to conduct workshop on the art of Recitation and to perform his premiere solo performance in California, organized by Pashchimi & Bangaliana of San Jose, at Towne 3 Cinemas, San Jose, California. USA.
On 3rd June 2018, in the morning at 10 O’clock, his live interview and performance was broadcasted by ‘Radio Jindegi’ of California, the then one and only Bengali FM Radio in USA. On that day he visited the Corporate Head Quarter of GOOGLE INC. at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, California.
In month of May 25, 26 & 27, 2018 again Calcutta University Alumni Association, USA, invited him as an artiste, director and conductor of Bengali Performing Arts Conference 2018 at Hotel Preston, Nashville, Tennessee 37217, USA. He has performed his unique brand of ‘KobitaConcert’ and also directed, scripted and led the opening ceremony of the conference, participated by overseas artists.
On 27th May, 2018, he was invited for his ‘KobitaConcert’ performance in Queens, New York at Gujarati Samaj Hall, 173-15 Horace Harding Expy, Fresh Meadows, New York 11365, in a Gala Charity Concert, organized by Baba Lokenath Dham of USA INC.
On 28th February 2018, he was invited by Indira Gandhi Cultural Center of Dhaka, under High Commission of India in Bangladesh, in an evening of Recitation and Song titled “Love of Spring” featuring poetry performer of India Shovansundar Bosu and famous singer of Bangladesh Shwapnil Shojib at Chhayanaut Cultural Center, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
In the month of January the 13th, 2018, he was invited for his ‘KobitaConcert’ show in 44th Delhi Pous Mela 2018, organized by Chittaranjan Park Bangiya Samaj at Mela Ground CR Park, New Delhi, India.
In the year 2017, on 10th September Seba Library Atlanta, organized ‘Poetry Concert in Seba Bangla Library by Shovansundar Bosu with accompanists’ at North Cross, Georgia, USA.
On 9th September 2017, Abritti Charcha Atlanta, presents workshop, performance and ADDA with Shovansundar Bosu, at 3903 Upland Way, Marietta, Georgia 30066, USA.
On September 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2017, Calcutta University Alumni Association, USA invited him for his solo ‘Kobita Concert’ presentation and to conceptualize, direct and conduct the opening ceremony of Bengali Performing Arts Conference 2017, at Airport Marriott Hotel, 600 Marriott Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37214.
Swaralipi Academy of Music, Boston introduced Shovansundar’s premiere solo ‘KobitaConcert’ show in Massachusetts, USA on 26th August, 2017 at Memorial Congregational Church, 26,Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776, USA.
On 28th August, 2017 he visited Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, USA.
On 8th & 9th January 2016, Shovansundar was invited by Bodhan Abritti Sanstha, one of the oldest recitation organizations of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He has performed and conducted workshops on recitation at Shilpokola Academy, Chittagong, Bangladesh.
In 2015, he visited England AND Scotland from 25TH September to 5TH October.
In the year 2014, he was invited to perform in Orlando, Florida, USA at 34TH North American Bengali Conference on 4th, 5th & 6th July, at Hyatt Regency FL. He toured exhaustive whole month of July 2014, and performed in different places namely Hockessin at Delaware, Hummelstown at Pennsylvania, Princeton at New Jersey and Wayland, Boston at Massachusetts, USA.
In 2014, he visited Dhaka,Bangladesh from 25th February till 2nd March 2014 as invited by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of ‘Ganaprojatontri Bangladesh Sarkar’ to perform at the ‘Amor Ekushe Grontho Mela 2014’, on 27th February, evening at Bangla Akademy, Dhaka. In this tour he also performed in live shows on different TV channels in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
In the 2012, 24th February, Shovansundar toured Dhaka, Bangladesh for his performance at Bangladesh National Museum (Main Auditorium), Dhaka, organized by Indira Gandhi Cultural Center of High Commission of India in Bangladesh.
In the year 2011 he was invited by Cultural Association of Bengal, USA, on the occasion of 150th year birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore .
On 14th May 2011, he performed at New Jersey, Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater and Nicholas Music Center, Rutgers University at New Burnswick in New Jersey, USA.
On 15th May 2011, he carried out his performance in the Hindu Temple auditorium at Flushing in New York, USA.
On 31st May 2011, he performed two hour long solo performance in Nashville at Pepper Ridge Circle Condominium Clubhouse, Antioch, Tenneesse, USA.
On 1st, 2nd & 3rd July, 2011, he was invited in the 31st North American Bengali Conference and he performed at Baltimore Convention Centre, Baltimore, MD, USA.
In 2010, he was invited in the London Durgapuja and Dusserah committee on 17th October at Camden Centre, London, UK. At the same trip he performed in Birmingham, England and Oakwood of London.
In 2008, he was invited by 13th United Kingdom Banga Sanskritik Sammelon at Liverpool, England on 5th and 6th April and in the same trip he performed in Preston, United Kingdom and London Durgapuja and Dusserah Committee, at Southgate, London on 12th and 13thApril,in the occasion of Bengali New Year.
In 2007, he visited London for his performance at Wembley, London.
In 2006, Shovansundar with his poetry performance Band ‘Brishti’ was invited by 26th North American Bengali conference from 1st, 2nd & 3rd July, 2006 in Houston, Texas, USA and in the same trip he performed in the South Asian Theatre Festival at New Jersey, Washington DC, Princeton, New Jersey and Freemont, San Francisco, USA.
In the year 2003, he visited Dhaka, Bangladesh, invited by Padatik Natya Sangshad for ‘Ekushe’ Cultural Programme on 21st February 2003.
Shovansundar Bosu represented India as the Bengali poetry performer in the International Poetry Festival, 1994 and 1995 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, organized by National Poetry Council Bangladesh.
Apart from overseas programme, Shovansundar visited and performed in major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Ranchi and other prime cities of India.
